A Clean, Modern Redesign for a Trusted Nanaimo Liquor Store

Lucky’s Liquor Store offers a wide selection of wines, beers, and spirits to customers in Nanaimo, BC, with curbside pickup and in-store ordering. Their existing Webflow website already functioned well, but visually it no longer matched the store’s updated look and branding. They wanted a design refresh that felt cleaner, more modern, and more aligned with their current aesthetic.

Our goal was to elevate the website’s look while keeping the structure familiar, improving usability, and maintaining all the features that already worked for their customers.

Understanding the Challenge

Unlike many redesigns, this wasn’t about fixing a broken or outdated platform. Lucky’s already had a solid Webflow foundation, but the design felt dated compared to their in-store branding and needed a modern, professional upgrade.

The challenge was to:

  • Refresh the visual design without changing the core structure
  • Keep the website easy for the Lucky’s team to update
  • Improve consistency across pages and components
  • Ensure the new look still felt welcoming and familiar

This was a design-forward project, focused on quality, consistency, and bringing their digital presence up to the same standard as their physical storefront.

A Fresh Visual Direction

We redesigned the site from scratch in Figma, creating a clean, modern look that reflects Lucky’s updated identity. The new design uses refined typography, improved spacing, updated color accents, and imagery that better highlights their products and monthly deals.

The goal was to create a visually appealing experience that feels polished, easy to navigate, and aligned with the warm, friendly vibe of the store.

Modern Webflow Development

Once the design direction was finalized, we rebuilt the site in Webflow with a focus on clarity, responsiveness, and long-term maintainability.

Updates included:

  • Cleaner component system for consistent layouts
  • Improved responsive behavior across all devices
  • Subtle interactions and transitions for a more polished feel
  • Updated CMS structures for deals and blog posts

The entire site feels lighter, smoother, and visually cohesive — while still being easy for the Lucky’s team to manage.

CMS Features & Marketing Integrations

Lucky’s uses several dynamic and marketing-driven features that required careful integration during the rebuild, including:

  • CMS-powered Monthly Deals
  • Blog system for updates and promotions
  • Integrated Mailchimp subscription for customer outreach
  • Google Analytics & Tag Manager for tracking
  • Custom components for featured products and announcements

Everything works seamlessly within Webflow, giving the team full control without needing technical knowledge.

The Outcome

The redesigned Lucky’s Liquor Store website now reflects the business’s welcoming atmosphere and modern look. It’s clean, fast, responsive, and easy to browse, whether customers are checking monthly specials, reading the blog, or exploring wine, beer, and spirit options.

With improved design, consistent components, and a streamlined editing experience, the Lucky’s team now has a digital presence that feels current and can grow with them over time.

Our 3-step
creation process

STEP 1

The Deep Dive
We start by getting to know you, your business, and the universe you operate in. This is where we uncover what’s working, what isn’t, and what you and your team dream of.

STEP 2

The Masterplan
Then we design a solution and build a budget that matches reality. This is where concepts evolve into blueprints and your project starts looking like something you’ll want to show off.

STEP 3

Developing stuff
After the design process is completed, we start the development. During this stage, we test the solution, make any required changes, and make sure that it is working correctly.
