A Bright, Modern Website for Vancouver’s Most Energetic Latin Cruise Experience

Summer Latin Cruises offers one of Vancouver’s most memorable nightlife events, a three-hour dance-filled cruise through Coal Harbour, North Vancouver, Lions Gate Bridge, and the West Vancouver shoreline. Guests enjoy Latin music, salsa, bachata, reggaeton, top 40s, drinks, DJ performances, and some of the most breathtaking night views in the city.

Their old WordPress website didn’t capture the energy or style of the experience. Pages loaded slowly, plugins constantly broke, and the outdated ticketing system made it difficult for guests to book their cruise. They needed a fresh, modern, and reliable platform that matched the vibrancy of their brand.

Understanding the Challenge

We had previously worked with the owner on another one of his projects, Vancouver Latin Fever, so he came to us again knowing we could bring his vision to life.

Just like before, the existing WordPress website came with familiar issues:

  • Broken or outdated plugins
  • Missing features and unreliable ticketing
  • Sluggish performance
  • Poor responsiveness
  • A dated visual style that no longer represented the experience

For a business that relies on smooth event sales and a strong first impression, the website needed to feel exciting, fast, and easy to use, especially on mobile, where most users discover and buy their tickets.

A New Design Full of Movement and Energy

We designed a new visual direction that reflects the heart and soul of Summer Latin Cruises. Bright colors, elegant gradients, clean typography, and bold imagery that showcases the excitement of dancing under the stars on the ocean.

Every section was crafted to guide users through the experience:

  • What the cruise includes
  • DJ lineup and music styles
  • Food and drinks available on board
  • Dates and upcoming events
  • Smooth booking paths to purchase tickets

The end result feels modern, festive, and completely aligned with the atmosphere of a Latin-themed summer party on the water.

Modern Webflow Development Built for Performance

We rebuilt the entire website in Webflow, ensuring it was fast, responsive, and incredibly easy for the client to update.

Key improvements included:

  • Responsive layouts optimized for mobile ticket buyers
  • A clean and scalable CMS structure
  • Fast-loading visuals with SEO-friendly optimization
  • Clear navigation that makes ticket purchasing intuitive

Everything was built with longevity and simplicity in mind, giving the Summer Latin Cruises team a platform they can rely on for many seasons to come.

A Fully Automated Ticketing System

One of the biggest improvements came from replacing the old, unreliable ticketing setup. We implemented a TicketTailor system and connected it directly to Webflow’s CMS using Zapier.

This setup allows:

  • Events created in TicketTailor to sync automatically into Webflow
  • The website to display upcoming cruises in real time
  • Customers to choose a date and purchase tickets without ever leaving the website
  • Faster workflows for the owner
  • Zero manual updating required

This automation not only improves the customer experience, butit also saves hours of backend work each month.

The Outcome

The new Summer Latin Cruises website is everything the old one wasn’t: fast, stylish, reliable, and built for the future. The design captures the lively spirit of the cruises, the navigation is simple and intuitive, and the automated ticketing system creates a seamless purchasing experience, especially important in an industry where timing and convenience matter.

Guests can now:

  • Learn about the cruise
  • Explore music, drinks, food, and views
  • See event dates
  • Purchase tickets instantly
  • Get excited before they even step onto the boat

For the owner, updates are now quick, easy, and fully automated.

The result is a digital experience as exciting as the cruise itself. It's built to scale smoothly through the 2024 season and beyond.

Our 3-step
creation process

STEP 1

The Deep Dive
We start by getting to know you, your business, and the universe you operate in. This is where we uncover what’s working, what isn’t, and what you and your team dream of.
Web design software interface displaying a website preview titled 'Exploring the You-niverse' with a Learn More button and descriptive text below.

STEP 2

The Masterplan
Then we design a solution and build a budget that matches reality. This is where concepts evolve into blueprints and your project starts looking like something you’ll want to show off.

STEP 3

Developing stuff
After the design process is completed, we start the development. During this stage, we test the solution, make any required changes, and make sure that it is working correctly.
